How is the communion done?
Bread and wine are prayed on by speaking the same words Jesus said. The bread and wine are then consecrated( by the words of Jesus Christ that has been spoken) as the body and blood of Jesus Christ and they are shared with everyone. You can use water instead of wine because of children.
After taking the communion, the blood\wine can be sprinkled in the house- all rooms and doorpost of the house for more protection as it was done in the book of Exodus while the Israelites were in Egypt. This is called the blood of sprinkling(Hebrews 11:28, 1 Peter 1:2, Exodus 12: 5-14).
Luke 22 New King James Version (NKJV)
17 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves;
18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
1 Corinthians 11 New King James Version (NKJV)
Institution of the Lord’s Supper
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said,“Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
Exodus 12 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Passover Instituted
13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
